Use AI prompts to create supporting documents
There is often a need to create supporting documents to enhance your clinical documentation for a given patient encounter. The Create intent feature in Note Assist allows you to generate a range of documents without disrupting your workflow.
Simply dictate or type a prompt into Note Assist in your own words and Dragon Copilot will leverage the context of your note and transcript to generate:
-
Referral letters
-
Patient-facing instructions
-
Insurance letters
-
And much more...
Examples of using AI prompts to create supporting documents:
- Generate a targeted referral letter for this patient requiring a cardiology consult after chest pain.
- Draft patient education instructions for managing hypertension based on the encounter details.
- Create a concise APSO note for this visit.
Important:
-
Ensure that your note and transcript contain content. An empty note and transcript will result in an error message.
-
Use specific verbs such as "Create" or "Draft" to effectively utilize the Create intent feature.
-
If you need to generate content that requires more information than what is available in the note or transcript, ask a question to be redirected to Information Assist (e.g., "Can you provide a diet plan for this patient?").
-
Include detailed instructions in your prompt to achieve better outcomes (e.g., "Draft a very concise …”, "Draft … using patient-friendly language.", or "Create … specifically for usage ...").
-
If you want to create content following a specific template, include the template in your prompt (e.g., "Draft a referral letter for a GP following this template: <template>.")
