Microsoft 365 Copilot enables you to brainstorm ideas and draft new content based on anything from a storyboard or a script to an agenda or an executive summary. Just reference your source material in your prompt to get started.

Open Copilot Chat

You can access the Copilot Chat experience in several ways, including:

  • Use it in the web, mobile, and desktop versions of the Microsoft 365 app, Teams, and Outlook.

  • Access it at Microsoft365.com.

Try out some prompts

Try the following prompts in these example scenarios:

  • You want to translate a complex topic into a memorable and relatable script:"I need to explain Concept A to a CEO. I need to include an explanation of what it is, how it works, and a value proposition associated with it. Create a script I could use. Also include two analogies that can help a non-technical person understand it."

  • You want to use Copilot as a creative, brainstorming partner: "Give me 10 potential names for Product B that capture the attention of millennials.""Using /file1 and /file2, come up with some potential names for Product C. Include a brief description of the product."

Tip: You can only add the / key to reference a specific file if you have a Microsoft 365 Copilot (add-on) license. Learn more about using Copilot Chat with or without a Copilot license.

  • You want to create a Word document based on an outline:"Create a Word document based on this outline <paste outline>."

Important: Please note that the system was designed to mimic natural human communication, but it sometimes gets things wrong. Use the Thumbs Up and Thumbs Down icons to tell us more about your experience and how we can improve it.
