Once you've created an agent that you like, don't keep it to yourself. Sharing it can lead to efficiencies across your team or organization, including saving time or bringing consistency to actions and outputs. Shared agents are not editable by recipients; the agent owner retains all edit privileges.

Share your agent

  1. Create your agent.

  2. At the end of create process you'll see a link to the agent. Click Copy  to save the link to your clipboard.

  3. Select Change sharing settings.

  4. Choose how broadly you want to share the agent. For agents that use SharePoint files and folders as knowledge sources, we recommend selecting Specific users in your organization so you can specify by name or security group exactly who can access the information pulled from those sources.

Important: Agents respect user access privileges and will not include information in the response from sources they don't have rights to.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Paste the link from your clipboard into an email, Teams chat, or other location to share the agent with others.

Not ready to share your agent yet? You can share agents any time by visiting the Microsoft 365 Copilot app, selecting your agent from the left pane, and then selecting ... (More) > Share. Follow step 6 above to share.
